You're quite right, and unlike other movies inspired by video games, SHERLOCK manages to make it visual without that frustrating feeling as if you're watching someone play a game.

@Curt
Believe me, by episode three, Moriarty gets *really*, really good. That's all I'll say for now.Patrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01844617192737950378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-499247432649483938.post-76446275511837346772012-01-26T16:57:45.015-05:002012-01-26T16:57:45.015-05:00Jumping the gun a little bit, here, but Andrew Sco...Jumping the gun a little bit, here, but Andrew Scott's Moriarty really came into his own in the final episode of Season 2. By the end of the story he was truly scary. The still, hollow eyed character at the climax was a thousand miles away from the high camp villain that people were expecting after his earlier appearances.Sextonblakenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-499247432649483938.post-25886350861278271622012-01-26T15:30:07.681-05:002012-01-26T15:30:07.681-05:00Sherlock's visual style is probably best descr...Sherlock's visual style is probably best described as being heavily derived from videogames (Something I touched upon in my review of Sherlock's second season.). People who are literate in videogames probably have little trouble getting used to the style, as floating text, mini-maps and HUDs are all integral parts of video game language. Sherlock borrows especially from Heavy Rain (with a certain scene in Hounds of Baskerville pretty much being a carbon copy of a game mechanic from that game).Ho-Linghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04673330638260132388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-499247432649483938.post-12461642140742810362012-01-26T15:17:55.626-05:002012-01-26T15:17:55.626-05:00I'm really looking forward to seeing this. Just didn't work for me in the third episode, first series.The Passing Tramphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09830680639601570152noreply@blogger.com
